5 Festivities for the Holiday Season

With the fall storms behind us, people around Tampa Bay are looking forward to holiday festivities. Our real estate team is waving goodbye to the overly hot weather and saying hello to some hot chocolate and wonderlands.

Holiday Events Around the Greater Tampa Bay Area

Winter Village: Top of our list of festivities and holiday events is downtown Tampa’s Winter Village in Curtis Hixon Park along the Hillsborough River. This annual event features pop-up shops, seasonal treats, and (believe it or not) a waterfront ice-skating rink. Check the event website to buy skating tickets in advance.
Festival of Lights: While you are in the Tampa Bay area, drive through the Hillsborough County Fairgrounds to enjoy a light display designed for the festive holiday season. It’s like taking a short trip to Santa’s Village at the North Pole.
Florida Botanical Gardens: On the Pinellas side, schedule an evening to stroll the Holiday Lights in the Gardens. It is a truly amazing display of LED lights. The natural surroundings coupled with lights is famous for delighting locals and tourists alike. Don’t miss your chance to be dazzled by something you cannot find anywhere but the Tampa Bay area.
Symphony in Lights: Next, head to Pasco County for shopping festivities combined with a spectacular show of orchestra music and dancing lights at The Shops at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel. Many people trek from near and far to enjoy an entertaining evening while also getting a chance to dine and shop for unique gifts.
Christmas Town Tampa Bay: Finally, we would be remiss to forget mentioning one of The Greater Tampa Bay area’s greatest attractions. Busch Gardens goes big for Christmas with holiday entertainment, shows, and more. Floridians as well as people from around the globe come here to enjoy the festive holiday season at this theme park.

Remember, the fun festivities do not have to stop there. You can visit any number of Tampa Bay area parks to see brightly lit displays and decorations. From Carrollwood Village and Hyde Park Village to Edgewater Park at Dunedin Marina and North Straub Park in St. Pete – there is no shortage of things to do during the festive holiday season.
