Fall into Florida Life!
October is here, and it’s officially fall, Floridians. It is time to grab an iced-pumpkin-spice latte and head outside to enjoy the weather. Of course, we do not get to enjoy sweaters and hot drinks just yet, but we certainly can embrace all the other benefits of fall in our wonderful area.
Pets & Activities
Autumn activities abound for folks living in and around Tampa, and there is no shortage of things to do with your furry friends. Doggy dining has become very popular for those who like enjoying a meal with man’s best friend. Many restaurants allow dogs in their outdoor seating spaces and patio areas. For example, Datz in South Tampa is a great place to enjoy a hearty meal at its outdoor patio on MacDill Ave. Anyone who has enjoyed a day in Dunedin lately knows that this quaint town is now catering to dog lovers. Several of Dunedin’s downtown restaurants allow dogs to dine at their outdoor tables, and there are several water bowls and pet stations scattered throughout downtown streets and walking areas. Check your local neighborhood for dog-friendly places to enjoy the fall weather with your pets.
Sports & Entertainment
There is a good reason why snowbirds flock to the Tampa area each fall – we are the home of great sports teams and top-tier entertainment. Our three major league level teams include The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (NFL), the Tampa Bay Lightning (NHL), and the Tampa Bay Rays (MLB). These team’s seasons collide each fall, giving our residents many opportunities to catch a live, action-packed sporting event.
Many Tampa area residents celebrate the season with their own sporting events — whether that means watching your child or grandchild’s game at a local field or perhaps personally enjoying a day of golf at one of the beautiful courses in Hillsborough, Pinellas, or Pasco counties. The range of outdoor sporting options is plentiful in central Florida.
Beaches & Outdoors
One of the best parts about living on the Gulf coast of Florida is that we have some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Whether you want to spend a quiet day on Honeymoon Island, or you are ready for some fun in Madeira Beach and John’s Pass Village, we have the seaside adventures to suit all tastes.
Some of us do not have to leave our backyard for nature’s beauty, as Florida’s fall months deliver milder temperatures and breathtaking sunset views. Many of the homebuyers and sellers that we have worked with consider their outdoor areas to be a part of their living space. Today’s homeowners are designing high-end spaces with outdoor dining, beautiful weather-resistant rugs, contemporary lighting, comfortable furniture, as well as artwork and décor.
As full-service real estate professionals, we would be happy to refer you to local interior designers and landscapers that can transform your patio into an ideal setting for autumn entertaining. It is our goal to help our Tampa area customers live the ultimate Florida life, at home and around our beautiful town.
We hope these fall suggestions will help you and other homeowners to create enjoyable living spaces. If you’re a Florida resident needing help finding the perfect home or selling your current property, call Dick and Karla Nielsen at 813-294-5786 today.
